Memorial Garden

The Winston Dagostaro Memorial Garden

Before

After

The Friends of Homeless Animals requested a design for a small memorial garden in front of their Visitor’s Center in Aldie, VA. The garden is designed, not only for year round visual interest; but, to be non-toxic for the dogs and cats that reside at the shelter and frequently explore the grounds. Many plants that are commonly used in our residential environments are toxic to our animal companions. With planning, it is possible to create beautiful, welcoming gardens that enhance our outdoor spaces that are safe for the other species who share them.

This is a work in progress that has been evolving over several years and will continue to evolve over time.
