Pea Gravel Driveway

A welcoming front entry renovation.

Before

After

The homeowners have a beautiful, classic suburban home that featured an outdated walkway that had become a tripping hazard and a driveway that was crumbling. Their goal was to make the front entry to their home more welcoming, accessible and eco-friendly. By adding the stone retaining wall we were able to widen their driveway to make it easier to access vehicles. Replacing the aging asphalt with a permeable pea gravel driveway reduces stormwater runoff and adds a classic, upscale touch to their landscape. We replaced the previous concrete walkway and steps with new flagstone that complements the new stone wall and veneered the existing porch to match to create a coherent, serene and easily accessible approach to the home.

This is a work in progress that has been evolving over several years and will continue to evolve over time.
